Headlight Installation & Beam Adjustment Instructions

Headlight Installation & Beam Adjustment Instructions

When installing the headlights, we recommend following the adjustment procedure below.

1. Check and Adjust the Horizontal Alignment First

When installing the headlights, do not fully tighten all mounting bolts at the beginning.

First, position the headlights and loosely secure them in place. Then turn on the headlights and project the beams onto a wall to check whether the beam patterns on both sides are properly level.

If you notice that the beam pattern is tilted, we recommend checking the beam while installing the headlights and making the necessary horizontal adjustments. Once the horizontal alignment is correct, you can fully secure the headlights.

For instructions on horizontal adjustment, please refer to the video below. The relevant explanation starts at approximately 4 minutes and 11 seconds (4:11).

2. Adjust the Vertical Beam Height After the Horizontal Alignment Is Correct

Please complete the horizontal alignment first and make sure the beam pattern is not noticeably tilted before adjusting the vertical beam height.

We recommend parking the vehicle on a flat, level surface facing a wall. You can then adjust the beam height of the left and right headlights individually.

Avoid making large vertical adjustments before the horizontal alignment has been properly set, as this may make the final beam alignment more difficult.

3. Perform a Final Beam Check After Installation

After completing all adjustments and fully securing the headlights, turn the headlights on again and confirm the following:

  • The left and right beam patterns are properly level.
  • The beam height on both sides is appropriate.
  • The beam pattern and aiming position are correct.
  • All headlight mounting points and bolts are securely fastened.
  • All connectors and wiring are properly connected.
  • The rear dust covers and other sealing points are properly installed.

Important Notice

The recommended adjustment sequence is: horizontal alignment first, then vertical beam height.

Headlight installation involves more than simply removing the original headlights and bolting the new ones into place. During installation, the headlight position, horizontal alignment, beam height, and final beam pattern should all be carefully checked.

If you do not have experience with headlight installation and beam adjustment, we strongly recommend having the installation and adjustment performed by a professional technician or automotive repair shop.

Improper installation or adjustment may result in a tilted beam pattern, uneven beam height, or incorrect light aiming. Please make sure to perform a final beam check after installation.
